The flawless fit of your lips upon mine mocks all vacuous moments.

I am blind since last I saw you.
The thin miles of my redemption remain in the splinter of your smile.
And like shallow water mutely rolling towards evaporation,
I lurch through shadows starved to know if you are thinking of me too.

Positing the finite,
I struggle to accept
that these lungs will not breathe forever.
